Ben at Cayuga Lake! We had a great time today skipping rocks at the lake. Of course my rocks skipped better then Ben's!

Upper falls as the sun is setting.
We decided to take a quick Sunday drive today and this is what we drove to. It is one of the prettiest falls I have ever seen and lived so close to. There are tons of waterfalls within 10 minutes of our house! Have we told you that we love Ithaca? It is so fun here!

It always seems that we are fishing for our anniversary. I think next year will be my choice and it won't be fishing.

Ben loves living a few minutes from a ton of water!

What a great idea for an anniversary date! Ben is always finding ways to show me how much he loves me. We love living in Ithaca! Tons of outdoor activities to do here.

Ben getting some tips before we leave for the lake.

We have been married two years on May 26th! We decided to celebrate early and go kayaking in Ithaca! We had a blast at Cayuga Lake! What a awesome day!

GREAT NEWS! Shanae does not need to have another surgery. Also, because she does not need another surgery that means that the pregnancy made it to the right place and was not ectopic. That brings us some hope for a successful pregnancy in the future and it means that the tube is working properly. YEAH!!!!

Camping with Scardenas before we moved from AZ! We had a BLAST!

This is the inside of our small house. We had to get rid of a few things to make everything fit. Is was not fun!

Ben with his new HOTEL BOOK! Very Exciting!

This is our house in NY! We live in the bottom half. It is very small, but very pretty here!

Well, I need to clear up a few things that Ben has mentioned. We were excited to find out before we left AZ that we were pregnant again. We did not want to tell anyone since we lost our first baby in January with an ectopic pregnancy. We went to the doctors the week before we left and it was not looking good. We decided to drive to NY even if the doctor said that we should be careful with me at risk. We left Friday morning and about two hours into our drive the nurse called me with some bad news. My HCG level was dropping and I was going to lose the baby again. I prayed that I could just make it to NY in four days without getting rushed to the hospital. Well, the great news was that I made it to Ithaca with very little problems, but went to the doctor here as soon as we got here. I had surgery last Thursday night and we lost our baby again. I am back to recovery mode again. It has been a very tough first week in NY. We will find out tomorrow if I need another surgery if the HCG level has not dropped. I pray that it will just go my way this time!

It has been very hard with two loses in less than four months. I will be so grateful for the chance to give life to a beautiful child. I just hope that I will be given that chance and great responsibility! My faith has been tested so much with all this change and hardships, but I know Heavenly Father is aware of my needs and will bless us when the time is right. No need to worry about me "I am tough"!

We made it! Shanae and I finally got to NY on Monday evening after a grueling 4 day journey across the country. We were thrilled to dodge the killer tornadoes, though three of the four days were constant rain.

We were able to stop and see some of the church sites in Kirtland, OH including the Whitney Store and the school of the prophets.

School is going well. I have had amazing opportunities to meet students from Brazil, Thailand, Korea, Zambia, Dubai, and Turkey. It is a special program becuase of the small size (41, plus 23 in Singapore) and tight nit unit of friends that develop. Learning from great professors and industry leaders is a privilege.

Our apartment is very small here, but it has really helped us improve our organizational skills. The weather has been quite nice so far, but we have been told to enjoy the sun because it is probably the last time we will see if for a while. The hardest part to get used to is there waste management procedures. We have to buy tags to put on our trash that is thrown away. We bought 6 stickers today for $15 !!!! Yikes! I guess it motivates people to recycle. Whatever, can't I just dig a hole in the back yard? Or better yet in the neighbors yard?

Well, Shanae's health is well and we found out some good news today. We hope to hear from everyone soon.

(This photo is of Shanae and I kissing in a "sweetheart" tree. Called so because fo the heart shaped leaves.)
