A New Skill Learned!

So, I decided to make homemade baby food for Saige. I watched some videos on u-tube to help me figure it out and then tried it. It worked out great! I made carrots, apples and avacodos. It was very easy and fun to do! I took these pictures after they had been in the freezer so there is a little ice on them. They last in the freezer for 3 months and very easy to get out and fix for Saige. I am trying to learn more skills and become more self-reliant this year. I just need to get a house so we can have a garden!

Steps:
1. Pick out your veggies and fruits
2. If you need to make them softer like (carrots) steam them
3. After steaming them put them in a blender with some water and hit PUREE
4. Put them in ice cube trays and put in the Freezer
5. Pop them out of the ice cube trays and put them in ziplock baggies with their name and date
6. YOU Now Have Baby Food
7. When ready to use them just put your cube in the microwave and unthaw them

3. Go on one nice family vacation
4. Go to the Temple together once a month

There you have it. We hope to do better on our goals this year than last year. So, far we have done great!

6 Months!

Saige turned 1/2 a year old on Thursday! WOW! She is getting very BIG! She weighs in at 19 lbs and 5oz and is very tall at 27 inches.  She is almost ready to crawl. She gets up on her hands and knees and moves like crazy.  We give her this week to start crawling.  She has been eating the coffee table lately like a little beaver.  Ben and I thought she was just licking the legs and then discovered yesterday that there are teeth marks and chunks taken out. She loves playing with Ben and giggles everytime she is behind him and gets his hair. We love watching her discover things every day!

Holiday Events

Our 1st stop was Las Vegas. Ben had never been to Vegas and really wanted to see all the hotels. He gets a great rate for Marriott hotels since he works for them, but the real great thing is during the months of Dec. and Jan. he gets an additional 50% off his discount. We stayed at the JW in Las Vegas which is usually $300 a night for just $40. It was very nice and we had a blast. We stayed there for two nights and then headed for Arizona. Saige did really good on the trip. The first day I thought we should turn around since we were not getting anywhere with having to stop every hour or so to change a poopy diaper. I guess driving makes her sick. Other than the poopy diapers she enjoyed traveling and slept a lot! She did not care too much for the Las Vegas strip. We bundled her up since it was a little chilly and she just looked around and then fell asleep. Saige really loved going to lunch at Planet Hollywood. She was looking at everything since there was so much to look at. Ben got to see one of his mission companions. We went to dinner with him and his wife. Vegas was fun!

Our 2nd stop was to Grandma and Grandpa Lee's house in AZ. Saige had only met some of Ben's family so were anxious for them to see her. She warmed up really fast and loved talking and smiling to everyone. I was so suprised how good she was while we were there!

Saige had a great 1st Christmas! We ate a lot at Grandma's house and opened lots of gifts! Here is a pictute of Saige opening her 1st gift from Santa.

We got a web cam from Grandpa and Grandma so we can talk to them and they can see Saige grow up!

We stayed in AZ for 5 days and it went by way too quick. We hope to go back again this year and get some more sun!
