Ben and I went to the Dragon Boat races this weekend. They have them every year in Ithaca. We only stayed for one race but it was cool. They have these dragon boats with lots of people on them and they race other teams over a 500 meter distance. It was weird to see the person in the very front facing the paddlers drumming for their teammates. I guess you only find this in Ithaca. I have never seen this before. I think that it is an Asian event.
I believe that there is an annual Dragon Boat race in Tempe at the Tempe Town Lake! How fun for you guys to see this! It is great to see you taking advantage of all the great things to see and do... enjoy!
ReplyDeleteP.S. I just looked it up and there is an Arizona Dragon Boat Association and they do have a race in Tempe annually! Pretty cool!
Shanae, I love all your pictures of the church history. We did that tour two years ago and I loved every minute of it! I have to say Nauvoo was my absolute favorite though. I find myself missing it every summer and wanting to go back. Any way, I'm glad your on here, add us to your blog list :)
