She is finally here! We woke up on the 27th of December at 4:00am. Well, I woke Ben up since I did not sleep the last two nights of pregnancy! We had to be at the Idaho Falls Hospital at 5:00am. We were 15 minutes late since "princess" had to primp up before he got there! We got into our room and all ready to go. The first thing Ben wanted to do was put on his blue scrubs. He loves to wear them. I asked why he liked them so much and he said all the girls look at him when he is wearing them! I thought he was maybe excited for us to have another baby! We went into the operating room a little after 7am. The doctor was not ready yet so I got to watch them do inventory on all the tools they would be using during the surgery. They gave me a spinal block and then I went numb. They brought Ben in the room before they had put the drape up so he could see them washing and preparing my tummy. He lasted about two minutes and then got comfortable in his usually spot on the floor. I looked back to see if he was ok, but his pale white face told me that I would be not seeing him during the surgery. I really wanted to have him record the baby coming out of my tummy, but he could not even stand so one of the doctors took the video camera and recorded it for me. It was crazy watching it later on the camera! At 7:32am Maysa Linea Lee was born! They showed her to me for a brief second and then took her to the NICU. She was grunting and had amniotic fluid in her lungs so they were working on her for awhile. I was scared since I could not see her for a long time. They stiched me up while Ben was still on the floor. I finally got to hold Maysa in the recovery room. She is so beautiful! She has lots of dark hair just like her big sister Saige. She weighed 7lbs. 4oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. She is way smaller than Saige. Thank Goodness! We are so excited she is here!

So beautiful. Again, congrats on such a cute new little one.
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you included Ben sitting on the floor in your post. I got a good chuckle out of that.
